The gentle sway of the chair, the low hum of the air conditioner, and the familiar scent of paper and ink… everything in the office felt right to Charles. He had spent the morning working on a complex project, and it was a satisfying feeling. He savored the afterglow of a job well done.

He leaned back in his chair, his fingers interlocked behind his head. He watched the sunlight dance across the desk, following its path and reveling in the changing color. He could feel his muscles relax, tension melting away.
